Channel Sales Manager

Responsible for generating sales bookings/revenue for Agentis products and services through channel partners who sell to targeted markets.
The qualified individual will develop and grow "trusted advisor" relationships with partners by providing 1st line sales support, including training, tools, resources, etc.

Responsibilities include:
- The Channel Sales Manager will work closely with the channel partners management team and sales team to provide the necessary tools and guidance to the partner through teaming and sales mentoring with the partners own sales staff (either in the field or at their HQ), technical assistance and when possible face to face sales calls with end user.
- Ensure that the channel partner meets their target market, coverage and revenue goals, as detailed in their business plan.
- Ensure that the channel partner has a proactive plan and specific activities in place to drive new sales opportunities & multi-quarter pipeline.
- Sales mentoring, through utilization of cold call methodologies, while on-site at the channel partners facility. This will be a one on one cold calling exercise, with a specified amount of time to be spent with each channel partner rep.
- Grow revenue proportionate to or in excess of overall region revenue in the channel.
- Face to f ace customer meetings with the channel partners sales team.
- Deliver increased amount of MI´s (meaningful interactions) with end user customers, through proactive promotion of the solution plays and/or other sales prospecting efforts at the VAR level.
- Exhibit pipeline growth for channel in forward-looking quarters.
- VAR alignment, mindshare and proactive sales & marketing behaviors.

Qualifications/Necessary Skills:
- 5+ years in middleware and systems generation software sales management experience, preferably in a VAR/SI/OEM inclusive sales environment.
- Capability to work with heavy travel schedule and heavy cold calling tasks.
- Capability to articulate Agentis Software´s value prop in a persuasive business & technical manner.

Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor´s Degree.

Channel Systems Engineer

Identify and analyze potential fits for our platform in potential markets and partners operating in that space. Work to determine the applicable fit with the partners offerings. Define issues and obstacles for incorporation of Agentis methodology, technology and solutions into the partner´s offerings. Assist the partner in packaging the solution in a way that aligns with Agentis goals in order to develop a competitive advantage. Assist the Channel Manager to create a channel program to drive sales, build brand equity and meet overall key partner account objectives.

Responsibilities include:
- Developing and delivering presentations in electronic and white board formats applying Agentis methodolgy, platform and services to those business and technical problems.
- Serving as the focal point for all technical issues on assigned accounts.
- Post-sales problem escalation and on-site support working with Agentis´s services and engineering personnel.
- Developing and delivering responses to customer and prospect technical inquiries, including RFPs and RFIs.
- Initial architectural discussion and application design. Application trouble-shooting.
- Persuasively articulate customer needs with Product Engineering.
- Researching and developing technical solutions to partners solutions areas and potential problems.
- Designing and developing prototypes and proofs-of-concept solutions that address partners and their end customer´s needs.

Qualifications/Necessary Skills:
- Hands-on knowledge of transaction management software, development tools, object-oriented development, and database management systems.

Position Requirements:
- Java and J2EE knowledge is required.
- Hands on experience in application development.
- UNIX/NT experience in application design and development.
- Understanding of computer networking and network programming.
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in the software field.
- Minimum 3 years experience as an SE or consultant.
- Excellent communication skills, especially presentation skills.
- Ability to articulate Business values to senior management.
- Strong technical problem solving skills.
- High degree of self-motivation, self-management and professionalism.
- Minimum 3 years of application architecture experience.
- Experience with Java is and Unix is required.
- Experience with more than one programming language is desirable.
- Ability to work independently.
- Be a partner and their customer advocate.

Educational Requirements:
- M.S. in computer science or engineering, or equivalent.
